Blackboard Prime · Institutional

Systematic strategies. Your custody.

Non-custodial digital asset management for institutions, on separately managed accounts you own. The first service line of a digital asset private banking platform.

What working with Prime looks like.

  1. 01 · One agreement

You sign a single agreement with Blackboard Prime. It covers the mandate, the scope, the reporting and the fees. There is no fund to subscribe to and no deposit to make.

  2. 02 · Your accounts, traded

Assets stay in accounts you own. Systematic strategies trade those accounts inside the scope of your mandate. Withdrawal rights never leave you.

  3. 03 · See, verify, exit

You follow each mandate on your dashboard, check its balances on-chain, and end it with written notice, then revoke the trading authority you granted.

Client custody

Your accounts. Your ownership.

Assets sit in your own wallets, held directly or with your MPC custodian, or in your own exchange accounts. Deposits and withdrawals never leave your side.

  • Segregated account
  • Your MPC custodian
  • Withdrawal stays client-side
  • Self-custody wallet
  • Your own exchange account
Trade-only authority

Trading authority only.

You grant a trading-scoped credential on an account you own. It can open and close positions. It cannot move assets out, by construction.

  • Trade-only API key
  • Delegated trading key
  • No withdrawal path
  • Revocable authority
  • Scoped to trading actions
Platform security

Signed by Prime. Locked to trading.

Every order passes through Prime’s signing gateway. The gateway refuses withdrawals, transfers and key changes, and trading keys stay encrypted at rest. Trading decisions stay with the strategy.

  • Signed by Prime
  • Withdrawals refused
  • Encrypted key storage
  • Client-set caps
  • Venue halt
Strategies

Systematic, rule-based, around the clock.

Strategies on Prime are quantitative and rule-based. They run continuously inside the mandate, with no trading outside the mandate rules. Strategy composition and track records are shared under NDA on request.

What a strategy must meet to run on Prime

  • 01

    Live record

Admitted strategies carry a live operating record, not a backtest alone.

  • 02

    Conservative testing

Fills assumed at the least favourable price, with slippage and adverse scenarios applied before admission.

  • 03

    Halt on breach

The strategy halts itself when drawdown passes its ceiling, and stays off until it is re-validated.

Verification & reporting

Reporting you can check without asking us.

Two layers. Your dashboard shows each mandate on periodic snapshots. A third-party verification network reads the same accounts over read-only connections and attests the balances it finds.

Layer 2 · Third-party verification

Attested by a third party.

A verification network connects to each account in the mandate over read-only credentials and attests the balances it finds, for you, your auditors and your board.

Mandates

Two mandate types. One structure.

Each mandate runs as a separately managed account that you own. The collateral you hold decides the mandate type; the custody structure and the separation of rights are the same for both.

  • Stablecoin mandates

USDC and USDT mandates on an account you control.

You grant trading-only authority on a dedicated account you own. Performance is measured in the stablecoin itself, with no fiat conversion in between.

  • Non-stablecoin mandates

BTC, ETH, SOL and XRP mandates on an account you control.

You grant trading-only authority on a dedicated sub-account you own. Performance is measured in units of the collateral asset itself: a BTC mandate is judged in BTC.

Operations

Operations built for institutional review.

  • 01

    Collateral-unit accounting

Performance is growth in units of the collateral you hold. A BTC mandate is judged in BTC, a USDC mandate in USDC.

  • 02

    Segregated reporting

Each mandate has its own ledger, statements and fee invoices. Nothing is pooled, so nothing has to be allocated after the fact.

  • 03

    Client-set caps

You can set your own caps on the account. Prime applies the stricter of your cap and the platform setting.

  • 04

    Permission-based offboarding

Ending a mandate means written notice, then revoking the trading authority you granted. No redemption cycle, no asset movement.

Roadmap

From one mandate to the whole balance sheet.

Prime is building one place where every digital asset you hold is managed, converted, settled and reported. Client demand sets the build order, and licensed partners will run the regulated parts.

Mandates with an agreed term and set exit windows, the line clients ask for most; returns depend on the strategy. Stablecoin treasury keeps part of corporate balances liquid in tokenised money market funds and puts part to work under agreed limits.

Onboarding

Three steps. No asset transfer.

You fund accounts you own. At no point does a transfer to the manager occur. Offboarding is the mirror image: revoke the trading authority after the notice period in your mandate.

  1. 01

Open or designate your own account

The account sits with you, at a venue agreed in the mandate. Ownership and withdrawal rights stay with you throughout.

  2. 02

    Segregate a mandate sub-account

Mandate assets are separated from the rest of your holdings. Your existing use of the account is unaffected.

  3. 03

    Grant trading-only authority

The permission covers trading only. Withdrawal rights are never granted. The strategy goes live.
